Low Pressure Hot Water Cylinders

Electrical Work:
If our electrician finds any part of your electrical system to be unsafe or non-compliant, upgrades may be required to obtain a new Electrical Safety Certificate. This would incur additional costs beyond our quote for basic electrical work, but it’s necessary for your safety.

Plumbing Work:
If we find problematic old black plastic or galvanized piping, we recommend upgrading it to avoid potential issues. This will be an extra cost beyond the quoted package.

Low-Pressure Hot Water:
If you have a low-pressure system, performance won’t improve with a replacement cylinder. Upgrading to mains pressure is recommended. Please note, old tapware may need modification to handle the higher pressure, and this isn’t included in standard quotes.

Unexpected Issues:
If unforeseen issues arise causing delays outside our control, no penalties can be claimed against Regency Plumbing.

General Exclusions:

• Sub-trades work not explicitly listed is excluded.
• If you cancel after we’ve started traveling to the site, a minimum service charge and a restocking fee of $200 + GST will be deducted from your refund.
• The quote covers one site visit. Additional visits will be charged at standard rates.
• No provision for a cylinder tray or replacing water-damaged timber floors unless noted in the quote.
• Reconnection is assumed at the existing location. Relocating the cylinder will incur an extra charge of $25 per meter of pipe.
• If your property doesn’t have a pressure limiting valve, we recommend installing one for $300 + GST.
• Any new flues or roof flashings, if needed, will be charged additionally.

Project Duration:
Most standard hot water system upgrades are completed within a day.

• If you have a pressure relief valve fitted on your existing hot water cylinder, we suggest replacing this while we’re there, however, just to be clear, this would be over and above our standard package price as most people don’t have one. The additional cost to replace this valve is just $200 if we do it while we are there,
• And sometimes we can’t get the old cylinder out due to it being built in with shelves. If your cylinder is built in, or surrounded in shelves, not allowing us to easily replace the cylinder, extras would be charged for any building related work. This could be for refitting shelves, refitting door, or even more in-depth building work in some cases.
