The answer is “YES” however in most cases it will not be worth even trying to fix your existing toilet. Especially if you have an inbuilt cistern like the one pictured here.
We occasionally repair them, however if you have a very old model, more than likely parts will not even be available. On any repairs we offer no warranty as the success rate is not good. Access is always difficult, and repairs are a challenge.
Maybe its best to take the opportunity to re-model your bathroom and just fit a new one, or a conventional toilet suite.

Toilet replacements can go horribly wrong if you have an old cast iron stack, or an old metal waste pipe which is rusting and cannot be sealed up.
We strongly recommend you seek the help of a licensed plumber for your toilet replacement, because with most upgrades the new one doesn’t exactly line up with the old one and then… a) it may leak, and b) it may never flush properly again.
Cast iron stacks are found on homes built in the 60s or before. I don’t think you’d find them on any homes built later than that. However as they are all more than 50 years old, most are requiring replacing now. Even if they aren’t rusted out, most don’t allow you to fit a modern back to wall suite which most people want.
It’s best to take the opportunity while replacing your toilet, to just get rid of the cast-iron stack while you’re at it, replacing the toilet waste stack with PVC.
The other benefit to upgrading to PVC is you’ll get a better flush at least 90% of the time from less restriction in the pipe.
