Not often in lifetime is the world tipped on its head like it has been in recent days with the COVID 19 pandemic. It’s a time of uncertainty and has and will create many challenges ahead, leaving many people anxious, fearful, and possibly finding it difficult just to accomplish basic everyday tasks.
Thankfully, with all pandemics, they do come to pass.
In the meantime, life must go on, and the essential services that effect our everyday lives like fresh running water, a hot shower, and a toilet that flushes, need to be addressed by those that have the ability, skills, or licenses to do so. Regency Plumbing is a trade which fits that criteria in the plumbing, gas fitting, and drainage sector.
Essential Services are those that are immediately needed to maintain human health and safety at your home, or your client’s homes, or your place of work. Under this definition, this allows Regency Plumbing to continue to provide plumbing, gas fitting or drain laying services, for its client’s, however they must:

So, it’s very possible you’ll have plumbing and gas fitting issues in coming days and weeks, and you’ll need them fixed promptly. Well, Regency Plumbing have made good preparations for this time, this pandemic, and we are here ready to help you. We have a crew operating and they have all the required PPE and training to safely get your job done.
We encourage you to call us and use our services, we are here to help in this challenging time.
Even if we didn’t fit the original plumbing, or gas appliance, or you need a drain unblocked, we’d be glad to help you. Of course, we will be incurring significant additional cost with special PPE that enables us to continue working, and this will be passed on to you as you’d expect, but at least it gets the job done now.
Finally, we wish you all well, in making it through these uncertain times, and hope you can manage to find some positives amongst the negatives, and of course, remember we’re only a phone call away when you need us.
There will be an additional charge, over and above our normal rates during the lock down (self isolation period) to cover the cost of PPE equipment our team need to use and wear. We take our responsibility as Master Plumbers, caring for the nation seriously, and we are just trying cover our additional costs we incur during this time.
We are legally only allowed to do Essential Work, so please do not try and bribe our team who are working to complete jobs they do not believe are essential. (We are only trying to do the right thing, respecting the safety and well being of all New Zealanders)
Once we return to normal, or what the new normal is, or might be – we will be more than happy to complete those other jobs you have. Our office are working in a limited capacity from their homes, however you can book in your future jobs and we will call you as soon as we return to normal operations and are allowed to complete all types of work safely.
Completing an online submission form is probably the best way to book in your future jobs at this point. That way they shouldn’t get missed.
